Sheet Music (PDF) of Doeke – Sterrenhemel (Starry Sky)

I wrote this piece trying to capture the feeling of looking up at the sky at night and being overcome with a sense of wonder and awe. Its rising and falling melodies reflect the thousands of stars overhead, creating a sense of mystery and fascination. I hope you can feel this in the music. It’s also loosely inspired by Chopin’s piano waltzes, almost like a miniature dance piece: playful, moving, and dynamic.
